This past Saturday at Nani Mau Gardens all East Hawaii Rotary Clubs were assisting with repairs to siding and window frames for the relocation of Kua O Kala kindergarten thru sixth grade. This school was taken by the lava near Ahalanui beach park at Pohoiki and part of it intends to relocate to Nani Mau. The school year starts August 7th and there is a lot of work to do. The efforts for this past Saturday were repairing areas of siding including removing jalousie window hardware, remove window trim and frame, remove termite eaten T1-11 siding, replace siding with new, replace damaged parts of window frame, reinstall window frame, hardware and trim.
There is another opportunity to serve on Saturday August 4th at 8:00. Please join other Rotarians as we work to prepare Kua O Kala for the new school year.
