Rotary International focuses on nine major causes: Promoting peace, Fighting disease, Providing clean water, sanitation and hygene, Saving mothers and children, Supporting education, Growing local economies and Protecting the environment. Heroes of Polio Eradication (HoPE): Ukraine. In partnership with local nongovernmental organizations, Rotarians in Ukraine draw on Rotary's collective experience working to eradicate polio in order to increase vaccination rates.
